Why are young people important to church?
The presence of young people in church is important not only for the future of the church but also for present. If the church lacks young people then it also inevitably lacks parents and is clearly not playing its proper role in the community. A church with young people is a church for all people.
We are pleased to note that we have a good number of young people in our church and that it is increasing. We would like to see this continue. We aim to include young people in all that we do as a church.
What would we like to offer young people in our church?
Of course our main aim for the young people is exactly the same as for the older people. That each person should come to know God personally. This is done through building relationships with other people who also know God. By living, playing and learning together then we come to experience a relationship with God and to begin to understand the plan he has for each of us.
Church for all ages
On a typical Sunday morning we try to offer provision for people of all ages. The main service exists for the adults but we make alternative provision for our younger members. There is a creche for the very young children and there are group meetings for the older children. These meetings include biblical teaching and we aim to make them as interesting and as fun as possible. |
